Solar Carports & EV Charging

A parking space is the only solar asset that generates power, shades cars and sells electricity all at once. Elevated bifacial modules add +10–20% rear-side gain, and C&I PV demand (+135% YoY in China H1 2025) is pulling carport canopies into the same tender pipeline.

Pain Points Solved

What canopy projects stumble on

Pain pointWhy it happensHow ems-solar solves it
Parking land earns nothingSurface lots sit idle while C&I energy demand grows 135% YoYThe same footprint becomes generation plus charging — bifacial canopies add +10–20% rear gain
Exposed canopies take damageHail, wind-borne debris and vandalism hit modules at eye level2.0+2.0 mm tempered dual-glass resists hail and impact better than single-glass builds
Steel cost kills the business caseHeavy modules force heavier, more expensive framing2.0+2.0 mm glass-glass versus 3.2 mm single-glass cuts canopy framing weight up to 30%
Multi-site programs get messyRetail chains and fleets need one spec across dozens of sitesStandard 430–450 W bifacial spec simplifies BOM and container planning across locations

Carport FAQ

Quick answers before you pour the footings

Why is bifacial the default for carports?
Canopies are raised 2.5–3 m above the ground, so the rear face sees open sky and ground albedo instead of a roof. That geometry adds +10–20% rear-side gain compared with rooftop mounting — energy that costs nothing in BOS.
How much steel does dual-glass really save?
A 2.0+2.0 mm glass-glass module replaces heavier 3.2 mm single-glass or framed builds, cutting canopy framing weight by up to 30%. For a 50-bay carport that is real savings in steel, foundations and crane time.
Can we standardize one spec across all our sites?
Yes — that is the point of the EMS-CP series. One 430–450 W bifacial spec, one BOM and one container plan serve retail chains, airports, municipalities and fleet depots. OEM logo on frame and carton is available from a 1-container MOQ.
Do you supply the EV chargers too?
Modules are our line; chargers come from our EV charger partner at ems-charge.pages.dev. We spec the canopy for their AC and DC hardware, so the two sides of the project meet at the electrical plan instead of in the field.
