The volume workhorse,
measured.
Tunnel oxide passivated contact cells on an N-type base: the technology that delivered the industry's dominant 2025 shipment mix — and the best cost-per-kWh a mainstream module can offer. Commercial TOPCon efficiency has reached the 24.8% class, and ems-solar builds its entire volume line around it.

A passivation trick that became the mainstream
TOPCon adds an ultra-thin tunnel oxide and a doped polysilicon layer to the rear of an N-type cell. The result: carriers that no longer recombine at the rear contact, so the cell converts more of every photon. That one change buys three things buyers feel in the field:
- Higher efficiency — 22.0–23.5% at module level, versus ~21% for the PERC generation it replaced
- Lower degradation — N-type cells resist LID and LeTID, holding output in the first years
- Better heat behavior — −0.29%/°C versus ~−0.35%/°C for PERC: 0.06% less loss per degree on every hot roof
In 2025 the world shipped 536 GW of modules, and TOPCon carried most of it. It is the safe, bankable mainstream choice — which is exactly why we build it at 2 GW scale.
Six formats, one cell platform
From 430 W residential formats to 720 W utility glass. Half-cut cells, multi-busbar, 2.0+2.0 mm dual-glass as standard on bifacial versions.

Three numbers importers quote back to us
−0.29%/°C
Six hundredths better per degree than the PERC generation. On a 45 °C desert roof that is real yield.
0.4%/yr linear
First-year ≤1%, then 0.4% per year — 87.4% of rated power guaranteed at year 30.
Tier-1 equivalent
IEC 61215/61730 + ISO 9001 + IEC 62941, with UL 61730 and TÜV/PVEL audits on request.
One platform, four site types
Residential
54/60-cell formats for pitched roofs, 21.5–23 kg install weight.
Commercial roofs
China added 212 GW in H1 2025 with C&I up 135% YoY — the format these roofs ask for.
Ground mounts
620–720 W glass-glass on trackers, matched to 1500 V strings.
Elevated canopies
Bifacial versions harvest +5–30% rear gain over reflective paving.
